Artist Statement

My work emerges from an ongoing inquiry into subjectivity as an unstable and relational process. It begins with uncertainty, with inhabiting a female body and not fully understanding what it means and why it has been continuously shaped by external forces. Growing up within strict social and cultural structures led me to seek belonging elsewhere, only to encounter new forms of constraint, that never seem to end.

I have come to accept uncertainty as a condition by embracing the unknown and instability, resisting fixed identities, particularly the category of woman, and making peace with being endlessly built and rebuilt, as if always under construction. This condition takes form in my work through systems that combine electronic components and human participation: sensors, resistors, transistors, inductors, and spectators function within the same network. What they share is a quality of unpredictability: they are discrete and arbitrary, sometimes aligning, sometimes failing, and sometimes simply coexisting. Through my experience, I have come to understand these fluctuations as central to the work, because they create a crucial space for collective knowledge-making. The actions, inactions, interactions, and intra-actions within these systems generate multiple meaning simultaneously, forming a shared, evolving stage for learning.

For me, uncertainty is not only what the work performs; it is also a condition, a politics, and an aesthetic. It is both unsettling and strangely balanced, much like truth itself.
